Meet Dr. Waln
Dr. Matthew H. Waln (Matt) follows in the footsteps of his family, which has been devoted to the healthcare of others for three generations.
Matt’s grandfather and father both practiced as Doctors of Chiropractic, the latter eventually becoming a dean of the National College of Chiropractic, and Matt’s mother practiced nursing and earned her master’s degree in bioethics.
Dr. Waln earned his Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) degree at the National College of Chiropractic / National University of Health Sciences in 1998, which has the most rigorous admissions standards of U.S. chiropractic schools.
Certifications
In addition to being a licensed Doctor of Chiropractic, Dr. Waln had gained special certifications:
- Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician – CCSP® American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians
- Chiropractic Nutrition
- Nimmo Trigger Point
Dr. Waln continues his education to add additional beneficial therapies such as Active Release to his repertoire so he can provide the best treatment according to each patient’s specific needs, which includes everyone from PGA Tour® pros to full-time moms!
Family
When not in the office, you will find Matt enjoying life with his wife Amy, a talented operatic soprano, their eldest son Christopher, who joined them during the 2003 Super Bowl, their son Phillip, who graciously arrived 2 weeks after the big game in 2006 and completed the Waln golf foursome, and their youngest, daughter Tessa, who was born in May, 2007.
Dr. Waln and his family strive to practice their faith everyday and are active in the Compass Church.
